China and United state of America seems to have found cure for the deadly coronavirus, Voiceairmedia has gathered. China's health leadership on Tuesday announced that they have found the Japanese-developed anti-influenza drug to be effective in treating coronavirus patients. Japanese-developed anti-influenza drug, Favipiravir, has been endorsed by China’s health leadership as an anti-viral drug for Coronavirus. This was confirmed by China’s director of the National Center for Biotechnology Development, Zhang Xinmin. According to Zhang Xinmin, the Avigan (Favipiravir) drug was found to be effective in two clinical trials completed in Wuhan and Shenzhen involving 320 patients. FG reduces petrol pump price to N125/litre

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced that beginning from Thursday March 19th, the fuel pumps at its retail stations will be adjusted to N125 per litre. NNPC group managing director, Mele Kyary who announced this today, said the adjustment is in compliance with the directive given by Timipre Sylva, the minister of state for petroleum resources. “In compliance with the directives of the honourable minister of state for petroleum resources on PMS pricing, the corporation has reviewed its ex-coastal, ex-depot and NNPC retail pump prices accordingly,” the statement read. “Effective March 19, 2020, NNPC ex-coastal price for PMS has been reviewed downwards from N117.6/litre to N99.44/litre while the ex-depot price is reduced from N133.28/litre to N113.28/litre. “These reductions will, therefore, translate to N125/litre retail pump price.” Kyari said the immediate adjustment will come at a cost to the corporation, however, “NNPC is delighted to effect this massive r

All 5 cases had a travel history to the UK/USA We urge Nigerians to remain calm as public health response activities are intensified across the country. The National Center for Disease Control have said on their official page that a detailed travel history of each case is being compiled & contact tracing has begun. Our National Emergency Operations Centre is supporting response in the states. Second Case Of Coronavirus In Nigeria Has Now Tested Negative - Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire

Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, says the second confirmed case of Coronavirus in Nigeria has tested negative. Recall that on Monday March 9th, the Minister announced that a Nigerian man who had contact with the Italian man who is the index case of the virus in Nigeria, tested positive. The Nigerian man met with the Italian man in Ewekoro, Ogun state. At a press briefing today, Ehanire said recent tests shows the Nigerian man is now free of the virus. He also announced that all those who had contact with the Italian man, have completed their follow up period and have been certified free to rejoin the society.

The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, has announced a second case of Coronavirus in Ogun state. Ehanire announced this today Monday March 9 at a press conference in Benin City, the Edo State capital. Ehanire briefed reporters at the boardroom of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, where he gave an update on the coronavirus infection in the country. According to him, the second case met with the Italian patient during his visit to Ewekoro in Ogun state in February.

The Centre Manager of the Lagos State Biobank, Dr Bankole Akinwale, has disclosed that the Italian, and only person who tested positive for coronavirus in Nigeria is fast recovering and eating a local meal, “Amala”. Reports making rounds online have it that a popular food vendor from Ughelli, Nigeria’s Delta State was burnt into ashes by an angry mob following accusations that she uses water from the mortuary to prepare her food. The woman nicknamed ‘Mama Aroma’ is reported to be notorious in the area for preparing delicious meals that are in high demand. Before her alleged death, the food vendor reportedly sold her Banga rice on a truck in the market where people form long queues to patronise her services. According to local media reports, a mortuary worker who had been seeing her come to the mortuary at night to fetch the water which has been used to bath dead bodies decided to monitor her to ascertain what she uses it for. ‘Mama Aroma’ got into trouble when the said mortuary man followed her to her joint in the market and raised an alarm, prompting the youth to subject her to instant injustice.
