FG reduces petrol pump price to N125/litre




The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced that beginning from Thursday March 19th, the fuel pumps at its retail stations will be adjusted to N125 per litre.

NNPC group managing director, Mele Kyary who announced this today, said the adjustment is in compliance with the directive given by Timipre Sylva, the minister of state for petroleum resources.

“In compliance with the directives of the honourable minister of state for petroleum resources on PMS pricing, the corporation has reviewed its ex-coastal, ex-depot and NNPC retail pump prices accordingly,” the statement read.

“Effective March 19, 2020, NNPC ex-coastal price for PMS has been reviewed downwards from N117.6/litre to N99.44/litre while the ex-depot price is reduced from N133.28/litre to N113.28/litre.

“These reductions will, therefore, translate to N125/litre retail pump price.”

Kyari said the immediate adjustment will come at a cost to the corporation, however, “NNPC is delighted to effect this massive reduction of N20/litre for the benefit of all Nigerians”.

“Accordingly, all NNPC retail stations nationwide have been directed to change the retail pump price to N125/litre.” he said

5 church members die after pastor made them drink rat poison

Five members of a church in South Africa who drank rat poison given to them by their pastor have died. Five members of a South African church have reportedly died after their pastor gave them Sowetan Live had reported how   Pastor Light Monkeyi , the founder of  Grace Living Hope Ministries, had mixed a very potent rat poison called Rattex with water and gave to his members to drink, saying that that death has no power over them as long as they drink the mixture which he said was for nourishment and healing.It was gathered that Pastor Monkeyi had told his members that they were not mere mortals and would not die from drinking the lethal dose of rat poison.
